The Sprogling Has Arrived!
Yes, indeed she has. Isobel Willow was born on Saturday 23 April, 10 days overdue and looking extremely annoyed at being forced into this weird world. I’m not going to gross you all out with a lengthy birth story. I’ll just say that she’s beautiful, overwhelming and mine!, with long, dark eyelashes, the most amazing array of hilarious facial expressions and a head of silky auburn hair which took these two very dark haired parents by complete surprise.
It almost seems worth the peculiar and drawn-out indignities of childbirth and the three sleepless nights spent in a badly ventilated, over-crowded hospital. What am I saying? Of course it was worth it, just look at her!
I actually have lots of other writing related news to blog about, including the unveiling of Jinn Nation’s awesome cover and some rather exciting developments concerning Dunraven Road, but I’ll have to save that for next time, my newborn needs feeding
On the Kindle – Water for Elephants: A Novel by Sara Gruen (Yes, I got suckered in by the schmaltzy movie trailers – I’ve just given birth, indulge me!)

What a little treasure! Congratulations, thank you for sharing – I’m sure Isobel Willow grows up to be very proud of her talented mum.
That picture is fantastic, makes me yearn for a newborn cuddle!
Hope the proud parents are coping well.

Hi Julia,
Awww, thank you! We are coping well (I think, lol!) and Isobel is growing by the day. She’s just discovered she can put her feet in her mouth, hehehe.
